In the getMovies() function, change the while loop to something like
this:
while ($row = mysql_fetch_object($result)) {
$movies[] = $row;
}
And when you display them:
foreach($movies as $movie) {
//$movie->movie_id is the movie_id
//$movie->title is the title
//$movie->description is the description
}
