Ah -- you're using implicit labels. You know, Internet Explorer doesn't
support these properly. (Surprise, surprise!)

Try:

<input name="metal" type="radio" value="gold" checked id="metal_gold">
<label for="metal_gold">Gold</label>
<input name="metal" type="radio" value="silver" id="metal_silver">
<label for="metal_silver">Silver</label>

then you can adjust the position of the label independently of its control.
