I think you both need one of them spell checkers, although in
your case, Jerry, it appears like you might need a grammar
checker as well. <beg>

Also, if you dig into grammar, you end up seeing that your
words above employ unneeded words. The grammar folks
tend to call it passive verbage. It involves the use of the
words, "to be" and "to have". Take for instance, your last
comment listed above, where you state, "I must admit, ...".
First, drop the words "I must admit" out of the sentence
and the context of the sentence remains the same. Totally
empty words. We all know that you wrote the sentence.

Next take a look at the next word, "though". That too ends
up as an unneeded word so dropping it from the sentence
shortens the sentence, takes less time to write and presents
a more readable sentence.

Next, the rest of the sentence comes across as an a paternal
statement, patronizing another individual. I just mention that
in case you failed to recognize your paternal/maternal display.
Please, take this all as a suggestion towards better writing. I
really only desire to comment on the words "have been" as
follows.

You stated "your comments have been creating great humor
amongst some fellow programmers any myself". Your spell
checker let you mis-spell the word "and". Fix your spell-
checker! <g> ;-) But, okay, enough of the humor, take a
look at the words "have been". Those words make your
sentence passive and take reality out of your sentence. Who
cares? Consider a complete re-write of those sentences and
compare the sentences.

For instance, that last sentence MORE effectively demonstrates
better writing...

"Your comments create great joy and laughter."

That, in effect, tends to get rid of the blatently obvious paternal
and maternal smothering. And it keeps things friendlier. It drives
a point as opposed to talking about how a point gets driven.

My apologies about the off-topic nature of the post. I hope it
helps. As far as the topic goes...

Case sensitivity is a mute point altogether. Either the language
supports it or fails to support it. All programmers know this.
Arguing with it ends up as a useless waste of time.
