I'm using Drupal for a while, but I also need to administer teachers,
students, sponsors and events from the view of a moderator. I tried to
register thousands of users and to assign them to certain role-types, or
organic groups- Then I tried to create custom Event CCK node-type for a
seminar. Problem was how to tie it up and build neccessary relationship.
The relationship module is still in development, and if I want to link
another node to a single document, I have to know the ID of that node,
which is very clumsy. Then I found subscription module and wanted to
give a try with that... but all those users (teachers, students,
sponsors, etc.) *will not* be able to access the web page, and
administration should be supervized completely from the perspective of
one, or two moderators. In that case, subscription module is useless,
because it doesn't let a moderator to subscribe a user to a certain
seminar directly.
After all, I gave up from building a list of users within roles (or
organic groups), wanted to give a try with taxonomy and some other way
of establishing links between nodes, but since I have very short
dead-line, I feel lost with Drupal within this project.
