If you're going to give the whole Apache/PHP/MySQL thing a go, I highly
recommend you spend the extra time it takes to install the applications
on your own. Not everyone is a Linux wizard and it's obvious that
"Windows Guys" can be somewhat of a negative point for some in
industry.

At least this way you'll be able to talk on the infrastructure subject
with some real knowledge. Plus you're not tied to what the packaged
solutions offer you. It might take you a day or even a couple days to
get it right, but I assure you it's rewarding and worth the effort.
I've always been a Windows user but I am very happy running
Apache/MySQL/PHP/CF on my platform.

Start by getting Apache installed on your machine. You'll be suprised
at how quickly it happens I think. Once that's done plugging in PHP and
MySQL essentially just requires a little reading and you'll be building
valuable skills while doing it.
