I am trying to make sense of Google's PageRank.
I have a main domain at www.whatever.com as a software selling site and within
this domain I have the subdomain ioannis.whatever.com as a personal website.
Most of the movement takes place inside the subdomain. The www.whatever.com
domain is very slow.
Google however reports a PageRank of 3 for the subdomain while for the entire
domain it reports a PageRank of 5.
Is this consistent? One would think that the subdomain which has the most
traffic should get the highest rating.
Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks.
