You & Me is a Digital Media Agency based in the Northern Suburbs
of Johannesburg. We are looking for a top-notch web developer with
solid Ruby on Rails / PHP and MySQL / PostgreSQL skills. You must be a
self-starter able to juggle complex tasks. You must be able to work
effectively within a small team. In this position you will be
responsible for creating web-based applications and internal tools for
You & Me's web sites. This full-time position is available for
qualified candidates who live locally.
Required Qualifications
* 2+ years Ruby, PHP, HTML, CSS
* Experience / understanding in CSS2
* 2+ years SQL, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL
* Strong understanding of web standards, particularly XHTML
* Have proven skills architecting and building complete web-based
applications
* Ideally be able to function on a Linux command line.
* Additional languages a real benefit: C#, Java, ASP
* Good spoken and written English-language skills
* Database design and administration experience
* Table football skills would be a bonus!
