There's probably ways to do that with PHP, but I usually think of PHP as a way
to create dynamic content with information you already have.
As an example you can problem find or make some type of spider program to pull
the price information from a web site and store it in a database. You can then
use PHP on your web server to get the information you stored in the database and
output them to web pages for people visiting your site.
