really there are more options. one being avoid or outright ignore him. i
assumed the people chimming in with him was in fact him for two reasons. i
have high expectations of people (intellect and behavior)...so i assumed it
would be very hard to find many like-minded people. second, i had very
little vested interest in the conversation that warranted my looking at his
headers - even still, there are many ways to sock that are not traceable via
headers anyway. i also neglected to notice that one of the cross-posted
groups was alt.2600 - notorious for the child 'geniouses' who post there
(blowing my statistical probability theory to hell). when i was that kind of
amusement, i go to alt.atheism and watch the dialog between theists and
non-theists. it mirrors alt.2600 just differning in subject matter.
i think it funny that everyone assumes i'm pissed or am/will be obsessed
with hat. i also don't understand why he would cross-post in blog fashion to
3 semi-professional where the op content had nothing to do with any of them
(which he actually still believes was ON topic...op being a bitch session
about blogs).
anyway, despite a few jibes, you've been reasonable with me and i appreciate
it - hence, this reply. btw, i've been on usenet since 1998 and i know how
it works and have seen it all. i've even seen people less intelligent and
more arrogant than hat, though it is a very rare occasion. if i let every
troll bother me, i'd be chunking my computer. i simple stay in my
semi-professional ng's and hope people like hat don't occation there. when
they do show, i play and eventually plonk once i've had my fun...and, my fun
is over.
