not stupid really. i was overly optimistic in assuming there were fewer
kooks in the world so self-absorbed as omh. in my hopeful perspective and
seeing other responses supporting the original kook, i assumed it was a
sock. likewise, i felt (and still do) that for the conversation at hand, an
attempt to verify this assumption by inspecting headers simply was/is not a
very good use of my time. now, if that is 'st00pid', i'm sorry no one
understands. however, i don't care. when i'm in a news group aimed at
harboring stupidity or asinine and egotistical content, i may become more
interested and take the time. as it is, the ng i'm responding from is geared
to solving programmatic problems...not listening to or responding to
blog-fashioned rants of personal opinion that have nothing to do with really
much of anything other than the action of doing so.
as for the 'award', i'd nominate omh. by shear and utter demonstration of
narcisism and lack of any measure of logical response to his assertions i
commented on, he has the corner on the definition of kook. he's a shoe-in. i
can't help but feel, though, that those relishing such awards (nominations
and conveyences) that it is an exercise of mental masturbation on a
monumental scale more closely resembling public, forum sponsered group sex.
what purpose does this serve and what good is derived? i'm sure it is better
understood by the other 12 yr. old 'l33ts' from alt.2600 - omh being its
pennicle mascot. as for we more matured useneters, we simply have better and
more productive ways to spend our time.
