Making up code is simple, but just for YOU have made it up don't mean it's true.

And the architecture was? We have the following official Debians

Debian GNU/Linux Alpha
Debian GNU/Linux Arm
Debian GNU/Linux HPPA
Debian GNU/Linux i386
Debian GNU/Linux ia64
Debian GNU/Linux m68k
Debian GNU/Linux MIPS
Debian GNU/Linux MIPSEL (same as MIPS but little endian)
Debian GNU/Linux PowerPC
Debian GNU/Linux Sparc

Official Knoppix are

KNOPPIX i386

For i386 you can use the x86 flash plug-in, but you CAN'T use it for Alpha,
Arm, HPPA, ia64, m68k, MIPS, MIPSEL, PowerPC or Sparc.

I have 3 desktop machines here, all with different architectures, but the same
GNU/Linux distribution, I know what I'm talking about, you do just bable about
things you don't understand.

Here are the links that describes the architectures, as I doubt you will
manage to find any information about those in any other way.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_architecture
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HPPA
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I386
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ia64
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M68k
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIPS_architecture
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PowerPC
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sparc

I hope you will understand that they have different instruction sets and
endians and none of them are compatible with each other.
