connectionopen (SeCDoClientHandshake().]SSL Security error.

Posted by pigeon on 06/27/05 04:38

I just upgraded to sp3 and sp4.. and also I installed a new
certificate :/ all in the same day without testing out each newly
installed compenent.. when I finished installing all of them, now
clients that try to connect to my MS SQL db get :

Connection failed:
SQLState: 08001
SQL Server ERROR: 18
[DBNETLIB][connectionopen (SeCDoClientHandshake().]SSL Security error.

I can start the ms sql db without encryption.

My certificate is installed correctly (As exchange works fine with the
cert).

If I try to force encryption option, the db never binds to port
1433. and users get access denied or server not found error.

any ideas?

thanks
Lee
