It depends on the activity in the database. If you do plenty of
activities that can be minimally logged, simple recovery is a gain. Example
of minimally logged operations are bulk-load, select into, create index
including reindexing.

You will also be somewhat less prone to performance loss because of auto-
grow in tempdb.

RAID5 is usually considered a poor choice for SQL Server files.
