IDIOT, this is a software development usenet group!

one true god, eh? out of @ 2,500 gods...and allah is 'the one'. hmmmm. and
your proof would be?

i knew a familiy from mexico. not only did the parents name one of their
kids jesus, they named another mantrada, and another allah. another funny
family, the hoggs, named two daughters ima and ura.

well, that would have been forethough on the *man* doing the naming.
however, allah is the *same* god as 'god'...the same 'one' the torah speaks
of. you know, the one that jews, christians, and muslims follow - the
pentatuk. :)

really? is that the same 'directly from god himself' that helped him write
the 'satanic' verses? i'd just say that means that either god or satan can
equally dupe anyone. that, or that during muhammad's exile, he wanted to be
returned to his homeland and wrote less fanatically until his countrymen
said, 'ok, you're not such a kook after all...you can come back now'. then,
after returning and increasing his number of followers thus gaining a much
more secure stance in politics (to popular to exile anymore), suddenly said,
'gee, during exile i was being inspired by satan...so, everything i wrote at
that time shall no longer be spoken of'. awefully convenient if you ask me.

anyway, i find it funny that you keep refering to allah in masculine terms.
that point too, seems more a convention of language than anything else.
hint, it's the reason we have and use pronouns.

> In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate. Say (O

let me see if i can properly recite the muslim pledge...

fuck allah, there is no god yet man has created many and all. all gods are
equal, yet, equally meaningless and a tool used of men for every purpose
from war, for peace, for law, for crime, for pillage, for giving. i
recognize the nature of god as being the nature of man because it is man
that keeps god alive through his own inventiveness. there is no god but man.

is that about right? no? well, sorry, anything less rational requires faith.
faith is the abatement of reason. i'll not be party to such a folly.
