A rather silly comment. As Jukka seems reluctant to gives specific
reasons for this 'hopeless mess', perhaps you would like to do so?

Think of font-embedding as just another weapon in the designer's
armoury.
You want to use it? It's there.
You don't want to use it? That's fine, too.
