I am using a php/mysql form. I'm not a wiz in either but seem to get by with
some help. I'd like to know how I can reduce numbers when a field is
selected. eg:-

Course 1 <select> There are X places available in this course

Course 2 <select> There are X places available in this course.

So when a person submits a form nominating a course, the next person who
accesses the form has the updated details or remaining places.
