Figure out how you want your page to look and then tweak the styles to get
the effect you are looking for. I don't think that there are any
requirements for what you have to add to your CSS file. You can validate
the results of your CSS file when you are done with it by using this
tool:

(or just get the web developer toolbar for Firefox)
