:>I have yet to see you surpass my <www.michaelfrancis.ca> creation. Surely, a
:>MySQL database combined with PHP, XML & a Flash interface is still several light
:>years beyond your recent capabilities?
:
:Hardly...

This abomination is still in it's test phase. Hardly proves you can do anything
better than me except for picking your nose. And no artist in their right mind
would show off an unfinished product especially in its early stages when nothing
seems to work.

:Still in the development stages (because I've got so many other sites
:I'm working on at the same time...plus I'm having a lil Stargate SG-1
:marathon), but it should be completed soon. When you click on a game
:system name and then a letter it retrieves the list of games from the
:database via PHP <-> Flash variable passing. The next step is to get
:the Flash end to take all the game title variables and then turn each
:one into it's own button that can retrieve further data from the
:database...quite a step up from your simple prefab email form. Where
:did ya slurp that up from? *snicker* Also, I'm not seein much (if
:any) database connectivity on that site (nor where you would even need
:it)...which portions specifically are you talking about?

The database at michaelfrancis is a secured backend tool for the proprietor who
may add and delete photographs for the various categories I've provided. The
look of the site can be changed at his discretion when the the need arises. He
ultimately has control over this using an XML "refresh" button the rewrites the
contents of what is publicly seen from within the MySQL database.

:Speaking of neat sites, here's another one I made:
:The first ever perfect liquid website done with PHP and
:JavaScript...it's quite impressive...I need to add server side image
:caching though to increase efficiency.

Nothing works and it looks fugly. It also takes too long to load even on an
extreme highspeed broadband connection. I suggest you trash it along with any
hopes of a career in the web design business.

:I have discovered that you can attain perfect liquid sites using
:Flash:
:And it requires no reloading. However when dealing with split form
:image encoding techniques Flash results in more graphical
:abnormalities (things not matching up with absolute precision) when
:you resize out of the base resolution...even when using:
:this._quality = Β“bestΒ”;

An idiot can do this. Why are all your URL's pointing to nonfunctional webpages?

:I think I've found away around this limitation though. It results in
:slightly larger file sizes, but that's not too big of an issue.
:Basically use solid form graphics and then use transparent image
:overlays like image maps and on the graphics that have to be split,
:over extend the sizes by at least 2 pixels.

It's obvious that you suck at doing this. You're wasting your time.

:Something I'm going to start experimenting with is simple games in
:Flash. I did build this Javascript prototype:
:But wound up scrapping the whole thing because of the limited keyboard
:controls in JavaScript. ActionScript in Flash however lets you use
:the Key.isDown() function to sense when a key is held down, instead of
:just when a key is pressed, which allows you to build games with fluid
:controls.

Two words for this: Script kiddie.

:>And you of all people should know that
:>priority is usually given to a client site over your own.
:
:Of course, if it wasn't I would have the new Backwater site completely
:finished already.

It takes too long to load on highspeed bandwidth. This is boilerplate crap and
completely disregards any flair for design and functionality. You're obviously a
script kiddie using illegal warez while fumbling around trying to learn stuff
that is too far over your head for you to understand.
:
:>Eventually, when time allows, I will update it accordingly.
:
:>> And stay the fuck away from my kook, Fly Poofter is mine to fuckup, go
:>> find your own.
:>
:>Obviously you feel you've been upstaged.
:
:I'm the one whose got Fly Poofter frothing at the mouth and sending me
:emails threatening to sue me...you'd be a lil hard pressed to upstage
:that.

I don't see any email threats. If all the drama is happening behind the scenes
then there's nothing to impress upon me. You've been upstaged because you suck
at flaming and you suck at website creation. I pity the poor fool who knows even
less than you do and is inclined to hire you to solve all their website
problems. It's clear that you are creating more problems for them with the
abominations you are trying to show off here. Show me something complete.
Something that'll dazzle me. Not some script kiddie crap in its testing phase.
:
:>Are you threatening me?
:
:If I thought it'd funny.

You're not funny. You're naive.

:>What will you do when I don't comply?
:
:Such defiance can only be met with complete and utter apathy.

I can see that, as characterized from your a-pathetic "websites".
