He he, yeah, Mad Magazine was one of my favorites back when I was sane.
What gets me is the Pollocks don't pronounce many consonants right at
all. My uncle's name is "Olechowski"; it's pronounced "O-le-HUFF-skee"!
It isn't at all impossible that facts of this nature gave rise to the
politically-incorrect but pretty-funny Stashu jokes prevalent back when
ladders and lightbulbs were rather new to verbally-transmitted comedia.
