I have to change what I have earlier written about this, even if you can still
use it as a guideline to be on the sure side of the grey zone.
Richard Stallman & Co has written an FAQ that takes up some misunderstandings
with GPL and here is what they say about charge for GPL software:

Just keep in mind that people hardly pay a lot for something they may get for
free and it can be safer to offer a support agreement with free software.
