A 20 kilobyte reduction in overall site size, with added animation and
sound effects that the last version didn't have. Done up right proper
in Flash with integrated PHP/MySQL. It's a fuck of a lot easier now
to add in new entries and I can have graphic/sound/video entries too,
the old version was pretty much restricted to just graphics...and the
entries had to be graphics too, which is what made updating such a
bother. I was able to retain my black back drop on the text by using
a text field replication technique I came up with. It's pretty slick
stuff and, again, means I don't have to create entries as graphics to
keep using the effect. I can also add entries for future dates that
will remain hidden until said dates come around.
Anywho, I'm happy with it and like it a LOT better than my old
version. For thems that like it, enjoy. For thems that don't, go
fuck yourself up the ass with a hedgehog. ^_^
