To the OP, think of an HTML document is not like a Word document where
all sorts of media is all bundled up into one neat (but usually humongous
package) but more like a script to a play. Your images are actors and the
HTML document via links and the markup element directs where the images
(actors) stand on stage. That is all. If you want a completely integrated
unit like a Word document for online use, try PDF.
