You'll need to modify your httpd.conf. Depending on you OS/Apache
version it will be different.

For Windows/Apache1.3.x:
http://us2.php.net/manual/en/install.windows.apache1.php

For Windows/Apache2.x:

For Linux/Apache1.3.x:
