I offer the client a choice between paying up front to incorporate
their site into a CMS - or to pay a monthly/yearly service contract.
For most small sites that get updated say once a month or less, then a
pay per use is usually more beneficial. If the client is simply
adding/updating/deleting content within the designed framework, then
this type of work is usually done in less than 30 minutes.
For server side programming added onto an existing site, I charge per
job.

I do not charge for replying to emails from my clients. Nor do I charge
for all their questions after the site is released. Call it customer
support.
