For what? Your description of (what you see as) a problem is quite vague.
Maybe you mean an <img> element inside a link? Then the first question
should be: why did you put it there?

Some proposed top three tips:

1. Consider purpose, content, and structure first. When they are in order,
the visual appearance can usually be tuned rather easily.

2. Stop worrying about minor issues of rendering when in _design_ phase.

3. Remember that although browsers may have wild defaults for visual
appearance, and sometimes do, most of the rendering problems are created by
authors.
