Err... Why should they? Do they produce TV programs on rivets, toenail
clippings, SMTP protocol or the international trade in dandruff? (I
don't have a telly so possibly they do.)
How about Big Bugger where a bunch of programmers are eliminated one by
one based on the quality of their code? Obviously it wouldn't last long
if it was based on quality of personal habits.
