You assume too much, too. What are they running on their database
server? I don't think their web servers and databases are on the same
servers. A machine running, say, an Oracle database server (or a
different database server, for all I know) could be the one(s) using
UltraSPARC for all we know.
And somewhere on their site:

Big emphasis on _help_. It doesn't say that the entire server room runs
on Solaris. The ones running IIS on Windows might just be the front end
servers.
