I have plenty of time on my hand and would like to know more about php.
A couple of years ago I downloaded and installed all the stuff I needed on
another machine.
I now have the zip file from php.net to get started.
What I don't recall is what server I had. I thought it was all built into
one package, but maybe not. Apache maybe? Tried out the Xitami thing once
didn't like it.
Looking over their site, I can't make heads or tails for the appropriate
server for my needs.
I would like to have it all locally.
I currently operate with Windows XP home edition.

So what's my best approach to get things going on my local machine?
