The difference between 'block' and 'inline'.
HTML comes in two basic types; Block and Inline. You can put inline
stuff into a block, you can put a block inside another block; you can
put inline stuff into other inline stuff, but you can never, ever, put
BLOCK stuff into INLINE stuff. Blocks always start themselves on a new
line whereas inline elements just continue along the same line.

(Here it comes.)
It's like a sandwich. You can put anything into a sandwich, even another
slice of bread, but you try to put the BLT[1] on the outside and the
bread inside, things get messy.

So, what do you reckon. I figure I'm either orally fixated or just a
guts[2].

[1]Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato.
[2]Aussie for 'over-eater'. As distinct from 'gutsy', which denotes
bravery.
