Specify the colour explicitly. A pain, I know, but relying on something
else (like scripting) isn't sensible, in my opinion.

You can always append the anchor to the selectors of relevant rules to
avoid too much duplication:

#some-element, #some-element a {
color: #rrggbb;
}
