This is inline posting - usually good when you are replying to various parts
of someone's post
Nothing to do with the date, or where it appears on the list on your
computer.

This is bottom-posting - putting your reply after everything else.
Back to topic: have you got the problem fixed? You were having trouble
setting cookies - I suggested you check for any possible output before the
cookies were sent. Did that help at all?
