A colleague of mine is trying to create a downloadable Excel Spreadsheet on
a site that uses PHP Version 5.0.4. He says there should be a "Pear"
configuration, which IS turned on, but the datasheet opens up with no data
from the tables. For a temporary fix he is using .csv files, but this is
less than adequate for many reasons.

I have no idea what most of this means, but I will pass on any tips you
have. My opinion is that it is a setting that needs to be turned on, but
what?
