That is why then .. My MIME settings for Quicktime (still as as installed by
Quicktime, I think) are for the QuickTeim plugin to handle images in:
[x] MacPaint,
[x] PICT,
[x] PNG,
[x] QuickTime,
[x] SGI,
[x] TGA,
[x] TIFF,
[x] JPEG200
formats
So that would exaplin why Quicktime tries to display the image.
Maybe you should save in JPEG, GIF or BMP format, if you wish to be able to
save directly from the browser. Or embed the file in an html web page, from
which one could (hopefully) right-click to save image as etc
