Yes, you can do that - but it still requires additional effort, which
adds time and cost to the project - Just like doing a database-driven
PHP page takes more time and effort than a static HTML page.

Every time you add a new bell/whistle you're talking about more work,
and there are only so many billable hours. Now, if you want to give
your time away...
