Hello,

I am wondering if anyone could help me in choosing a right training
course.

My company has agreed to send me on a training course for sql server
administration. However it is up to me to choose the right training
course available. i have recently took up a job of sql 2000 dba from a
developer position. i have worked on t-sql for years but from past few
months i am also manaing the sql 2000 databases. now my company wants
to send me for comprehensive MCDBA training. However i am bit
reluctant to accept that as i heard from quiet a few poeple that MCDBA
is going to be outdated and i should prefer going for MCTS 2005. But i
am afreaid if i get trained on 2005 would i be able to manage 2000
databases efficiently. Morever my compnay haven't got any plans of
migrating to 2005 in near future but eventually will do that i
believe. I also have following doubts...

1. Will MCTS hold more weightage than mcdba?
2. Would MCTS help in my career more than MCTS
3. Is MCTS 2005 training would help me doing my dba job smoothly on
2000 databases?

Please help me in making the right decision.

Thanks,

A.
