because hand coding gives more flexibilty, WYSIWYG apps often produce
invalid and deprecated code. They also produce bloated code - par
examplay, type "hello shaggers" in MSWord and export as HTML. Its your
basic WYSIWYG, but you get about 4 pages of code - bloated code ==
longer download times, increase bandwidth consumption, increase in
spenditure, decrease in profits and loss of potential customers.
Of course Im not saying that good code > design. You need to be able to
produce well structure and asthetically pleasing sites using the
appropriate code types.
