I maintain computers at my public library, old crusty farmers where the
only mice they where familiar with the cats caught in the barn. So when
the stare squinting at the screen and I give them a tip about "CTRL +"
(I have the patron computers setup with Firefox), Well let's say it is a
much appreciated feature that get frequent use once discover.

Your design philosophy depends on user ignorance, a little education and
your visitors will be demanding more!

Case in point, how many complaints did we see here a couple of years ago
about websites, especial important ones like banks, that would only work
in IE? Folks complained and now it is hard to find a site, (unless it
the US government and FEMA), that does not work in Firefox, Opera,
Safari...
