Just a quick note for all the nay-sayers and shoot-first critics:

1) Don't worry if it is a waste of time or not -- no one is being
forced to participate and waste their time. People work on things they
want to work on and they do it on their own free time and of their own
free will. If you question their choices, you are stepping over the
line, IMO. Besides, no one can forsee the outcome: if they do not come
up with something worthwhile, then maybe they've learned something; if
they do succeed then they have bettered the community.

2) Style comments are very worthwhile but they need to be constructive.
MUCH MUCH better would be to provide a stylesheet or template or
something to help instead of indeiscriminate hole poking. Indeed, these
things were specifically asked for to improve the site.

3) Design is important: so is functionality and there are many things
about the mainsite that could be improved/updated and there are many
things that are not presently being done that would be agreeable to
have.

Please be constructive.
