well then, you'd best get to deciding what 'basic' entails. then you'll have
an idea of what functions you'll need to accomplish them. and, you'll have a
great place to start reading the manual at php.net.

you're looking at approximately 270 hours to get the 'basics'. other than
that, learn on your own and don't beg for help offering nothing in return.
(did you 'calc' that estimate? adds up quick, don't it.)
