I guess you might try to show the client how the text varies when you
change the screen width. A real format control freak might be more
happy with a pdf format, but they should be aware of the
disadvantages. Or if the client wants no input from you, you can
either suggest another programmer, or say: "That idea is wonderful,
sir. I wish I had thought of it , sir." Then you silently say to
yourself several times: "Lick my (whatever body part seems most
offensive)". I heard of this method from someone in the chemistry
department of a major university. The person in charge of the
storeroom got absolute commands from one well-known professor who
wanted no back talk or discussion from the storeroom help. The old man
in charge of the storeroom used this technique.
