use open office, insert the macro into oo then touch off the script
with php. results might vary. If you JUST want the strings from the
word doc, use antiword. (If the .doc is an RTF then RTF is an open
format, there might be a special convertor around.
If you have/dont care about a server license for M$ office, open the
doc in office using offices COM interface, and then .print() the doc
to PDF, the opencd.org has a print to pdf convertor, or if you have
distiller you will have one, also theres the redmon port redirector
coupled with ghostscript and adter installing a decent colour ps
printer driver, if you dont have one already. Printing to pdf doesnt
yeild the qualilty (links, navigation) that Ooo will do, but it does
result in a pretty good pdf, and ghostscript is highly configurable.
