I'm an experienced web developer looking to create a custom application
using the PHP framework Code Igniter. The application will have an ecommerce
component. The shopping cart and checkout need to be integrated into the
existing design versus a stand alone store in a separate window.

I'm considering using CubeCart. Some of examples they reference (like
thepowershop.com) are impressive and don't "feel" like the typical canned
store front. How much time (i.e. hours) would you say it would take an
experienced CubeCart developer to create an integrated shopping cart &
checkout? I understand this might be tricky to answer, but I'm just looking
for a ballpark range.

Alternatively can anyone recommend something better?
