If you download a java applet and don't have Java installed... it's the
same thing. Flash 9 is a virtual machine. Without giving it something to
run it does nothing at all except eat a little disk space.
If you have a Windows machine, chances are you have .NET installed. Same
thing again... .NET is just a series of libraries that let you run
things. It doesn't do anything on its own.
Would you like me to upload a player somewhere for you? I can create a
FLV player in Flash 9 in about five minutes flat.
