I'm sure there are many, many more people in this world that use animals
to plough their fields than those who have the wealth to use tractors.
It's good to know that you think outside your little world now and then.

I really don't follow. Java, as rich content is far, far more powerful
and flexible than flash can hope to be. Simply because of the fact that
it doesn't need to be dumbed down for people that don't care to look
outside the box (ad their nice drag and drop ide).

So that the success of sites based on flash can potentially reach as
many people as Java can already do.

Actually you can if you have an emulsion to fry it in.

Not as far as you seem to insist. There still isn't support for flash in
the majority of operating systems.

I quite agree - it requires HTML and Javascript to build web
applications. Flash doesn't come into this at all.

For informative pages not even javascript is required, let alone a slug
like Flash.

No I'm pretty sure his idea is to produce standards compliant, far
reaching pages that don't take until the end of time to load over 56K
and which don't have the problem of vendor lock in.

You ARE the guy that is still using HTML 3.2 aren't you?

It sure does! It asks you to update when something isn't supported...
you click yes. Simple.

Congratulations. Flash also isn't a requirement on various other sites.

No it isn't. Windows comes shipped with MS's version of Java - more than
can be said about flash.

For example?

Running Java code is so much faster than Action Script that you could
write all the routines available in flash in java and probably still get
better speed.

No, no you don't understand - flash is slower than java. There is no way
that you could prove otherwise. Never. Ever.

Only because lazy as hell pseudo-programmers like yourself can only deal
with drag and drop design.

What product? You're stupid homepage that basically shows off some
'potential' bad designs that no one is willing to pay you for (also
constructed entirely in flash)?

No, really, it's people like you who pedal closed systems such as flash
that enable certain thieves to create a single choice,
no-other-brand-of-juice environment.

When was the last time the thief actually invested in R&D?
