I'm using Edit Pad Pro for my PHP files (and most other text files, for
that matter, replacing Notepad as my standard text editor), and for
..php files, I've let Windows XP assign an default icon for them
(showing a "blank" page containing the Edit Pad Pro program icon).

And yes, I started out with their "Lite" version. I simply felt so
comfortable with it that I upgraded to the Pro version.
