Apologies, this is totally off topic, but I have no idea which group would
be relevent, and google has lead me nowhere since I haven't figured out
the correct terminology to use.

Pointers would be appreciated.

There is a "rating" system that some people use to describe themselves on
usenet. They put information about themselves in a minimal coded form.
The code might be just a few letters in a standard format, but would then
describe things like their sex, age, interests, etc. The "rating" would
typically be put in a usenet message as part of the signature.


Does anyone know what what I am talking about, or suggest what to call
this so I can search for it?
