When time permits, I advice you to set things aside and make the upgrade to
Firefox/Thunderbird. Same software, only better (more modern and reliable).
I know someone who still uses Netscape. The fear of change and the bravery
that it takes to overcome it are worth pondering.

Try to steer away from your desire to compose pages in that form. There are
many Open Source CMS projects out there.

Okay, so far so good, but why not mention content management systems?

Unfortunately, the reading habits of other users will not be affected by a
choice to killfile posts from Google Groups. This can result in fragmented
threads, missing information, et cetera et cetera.

You can rarely educate people who only attend the newsgroups once or twice
using an interface that discourages quoting.
