If your pages aren't valid, then don't use it. On the other hand, why
would you want to use it? Do your visitors care whether your HTML is
valid or not?

IMHO, this is something that only you should care about. Don't bother
your visitors with extra images to download, and meaningless phrases
like "This page is valid HTML."
