Trust me on this, 'Ratz: If you ever find yourself traveling
to Southwest "Lower" Michigan you owe it to yourself to stop off
for a refreshment at Bell's Brewery in Kalamazoo. Owned by one of
those "worked his way up from a hobby to a business" type of brewers.

Aside from the usual ales, and porters and such is something he calls
"Expedition Stout" -- beer you can safely view an eclipse through.

Creamy, dense, nearly dead flat (no added CO2 injected). Not an
ultra high gravity brew, but can help put a rosy glow on your outlook.
Not to criticize any of what he produces (well, except for the wheat
beer [Wheat?!? OMFGWTF!!1!] but that's not specific to Bell's), it is
_real_ beer; but that Stout is liquid hedonism defined.
