sure there is, but this is now data dependent.

suppose you have a message-board on site#1 - this app shows all the
messages in the usual manner. Now let's suppose you want to make a list
of 'new' items (threads?) on Site#2 ... your SQL would look similar to:

SELECT *
FROM tblThreads
WHERE tblThreads.Date = today
